Kate Plus 8: Kate Gosselin on the Big Screen?

Reality television might be taking over the small screen, but they're still nothing compared to the cinemas. It looks like Kate Gosselin has realized that as well, since she announced her desire to be on the big screen instead of starring on Kate Plus 8.

The Gosselin mom has been discussing her plans to have her own talk show. But according to us, she declared on TLC's Monday special You Ask, Kate Answers that she wants to branch out. The reality TV matriarch certainly has some high hopes for herself.

"Somewhere in here I've discovered that I've done enough years of TV that I feel like it's a normal, natural, comfortable place to be. I'd love to be in a movie at some point," Kate Gosselin exclaimed. "I would love to be the voice of a cartoon character in a movie for my kids. I think that would be fun."

Perhaps she can strike a deal with Pixar or something. The 34-year-old Kate Plus 8 star went on to say that even though she's doing her best for her children, she's not exactly into the idea of letting them have another father figure yet. Remarriage for her at this time is a definite no.

"Really? Seriously? Do you really think now is a good time to be asking me that?" she wondered. However, the question remained. Kate Gosselin believes that tying the knot once more could be an option, in about 40 years in the future.

"I struggle because I really don't want to be married again. Can you blame me?" she said. "But I don't want to be alone. The aloneness is so alone. It has to be someone with a lot of patience, character, strength and wisdom to take us on. I don't know if that is possible. Maybe when I'm 73-and-a-half!"

As she looks to the future though, Kate sees herself and her children living a good life. She said that she's already secured their college educations, but that doesn't rule out her drive for a movie career. Or any career for that matter.

The Gosselin matriarch said: "If I had my choice, myself and my kids in 10 years will be happy, healthy ... I would love my TV career thing to be successful. I've found my niche. I would love not to be alone...but nobody's ever going to buy into my mess, so I probably will be. But it's OK, I'll just be working hard anyway."
