Production On ANCHORMAN 2 Could Start in February 2011


Let's face it: everyone in the world wants Anchorman 2 to happen. The ravenous fans want it. Writer/director Adam McKay wants it. Hell, the entire cast wants it. So why hasn't it happened yet/isn't happening now? In truth, everyone involved with the original is just too darn expensive today. But don't despair yet, Burgundy enthusiasts. For the first time in six years, there seems to be a real hope the sequel will get off the ground.


McKay told MTV that if Paramount greenlights the project soon, production could begin as early as February 2011. He acknowledges that this timetable is a bit of a long shot, but fans of the original should see this as a real reason to feel optimistic about an Anchorman sequel.
