Scott Pilgrim Headed Back Before Cameras

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, Universal's live-action adaptation of the Oni Press graphic novel, is headed back to Canada soon for some additional filming. But before any of you fanboys begin to panic at the idea of "reshoots," director Edgar Wright wants you to know that it's nothing to worry about.

"To be honest - I'm excited about it," Wright told CHUD. "We have material from Vol 6 that is impossible to resist and so even after a nearly a year of editing - it's going to be fun to put some icing on the cake. We are not even redoing one full scene, just some bits and bobs and new jokes and beats that I wrote with [screenwriter Michael] Bacall & [comic creator Bryan Lee] O'Malley."

Wright went on to say that his last two films, Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, both had a few days of additional filming, which he feels yielded some of the best comedic bits in those movies.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World remains slated to open August 13.
