According to Soap Central, fan favorite Lauralee Bell is returning to 'The Young and the Restless' later this month to reprise her role as Christine "Cricket" Blair. Bell's storyline will kick of shortly after the return of David Hasselhoff, who will play Dr. Snapper Foster.
This will mark Bell's first appearance on 'Y&R' since 2005, although she did play Christine on the 'Bold and the Beautiful' for a short time in 2007.
How will Bell be integrated into the show? Since Cricket is an attorney, she could be called back to Genoa City to deal with the ongoing murder trial involving Nick Newman, who is accused of killing his brother, Adam. Cricket has connections with nearly all the main characters on the show, especially Christian LeBlanc's Michael Baldwin, the main lawyer who is handling most of the legal action these days. Perhaps he brings Chris in to help with a case?
Bell's return to 'Y&R' is a true homecoming, as her parents, William and Lee Phillip Bell, created the soap opera. Her sister-in-law, Maria Arena Bell, is the current head writer.
Lauralee first appeared on the program in 1983.
