American Idol: Kris Allen's (And Possibly Adam and Allie's) November

If I were you, I'd save up for November and prepare to buy one, maybe two, maybe three albums from last season's American Idol crop.

Just when we've kept quiet (for just a bit, and in a good way) about the season 8 finalists, we realize that they've got albums to work on, and a career after the tour, which is set to wrap up in a couple of weeks or so. Of course, there's winner Kris Allen. Of course, there's Adam Lambert, never mind the earlier tussle about his unreleased material. Add in fourth placer Allison Iraheta, and you have the three contestants who'll release albums--so far.

Of course, there's Danny Gokey, but apart from him going country, we haven't got much details.

First up, Kris Allen, who announced on his Twitter page that he'll be releasing his album on November 17. Good news, of course, for Kris-heads, although apart from his work on the show, I honestly haven't much of an idea as to what we should expect to hear. Something similar to what he's done before? Sure, but fingers crossed record producers see the light and not include "No Boundaries". I'm not betting on it, though.

Next up, Adam Lambert, who said that his album will be "quite eclectic". In an interview with People magazine, the runner-up said he's halfway through the album, squeezing in recording sessions in between tour dates. "There are songs on there that are anthems," he said. "There are songs that make you want to dance. There are songs that make you feel sexy. There are songs that touch you, hopefully, with more emotional, insightful, deeper lyrics."

While there's no release date for that album yet, Adam's also recorded a song for the film 2012, which hits theaters this November. Although it'd be nice to see his studio album released in time for the movie, I'm not gunning on it, only because I'm expecting Adam to spend a lot of time perfecting the sound. He knows what he's doing, after all.

That's all we know for now, actually. The last we heard from Allie, she'll release her album sometime "November-ish". But at least that's a pretty solid date. I think I have to save up, too, just to follow up on my promise to myself.
