Sure, Dancing with the Stars fans might miss Michael Irvin's (over)enthusiasm, but the harder part of last night's double elimination was saying goodbye to the promising tandem of Mark Dacascos and Lacey Schwimmer. Promising, because prior to this week's crazy weird routine (due largely to Lacey's absence), Mark and Lacey were on a high, scoring two consecutive 26's and on Dancing with the Stars, they actually revealed they finally started feeling like contenders.
But in any case, you ask what's next for Mark and Lacey, who is by the way, still very sick and just pushed herself to dance during the dance-off? First things first, the two are off to the big apple to do The View.
"I can't wait to hang with Whoopi and Barbara!" writes Lacey on her Radar Online blog.
Going back to the flu, Lacey further admits to E! Online that while she was really sick on elimination night, she just wanted to dance with Mark so bad.
"Health-wise, I probably shouldn't have danced tonight. As of midnight last night I was not dancing. But I was not going to let [Mark] dance with someone else. This is the nicest guy you'll ever meet in your entire life."
On her blog, her admiration for Mark is obvious, so that explains the two's chemistry. "He is one of the greatest guys I've ever known and a pleasure to work with. I will miss him a lot, and his family. His kids were adorable!."
Speaking of kids, the Iron Chef star says that while he will miss the stress of Dancing with the Stars, he is so looking forward to see his kids again.
"It's bittersweet," he says. "I will miss some of the stress, but it will be nice to see my kids again and kicking and punching. That's what I do. It was a fantastic experience."
