Futurama: "The Duh-Vinci Code" Review Season 6, Episode 5

Though the hoopla over The Da Vinci Code book and movie is a good four to five years behind us, the latest episode of Futurama made the most of this dated reference. Not really a parody as much as a format to send the characters on a decent adventure, "The Duh-Vinci Code" offered up a lot of fun and some fantastic design work.

In a bit virtually unrelated to the remainder of the episode, "The Duh-Vinci Code" started off strong with Morbo hosting "Who Dares to be a Millionaire." His pronouncements during the introduction of the show were some of his best angry work: "Tremble before Morbo's mighty likability!" I also loved the "Applaud Or Be Destroyed" sign. Fry giving a final answer of "nail" to the question "What do you use to hammer a nail," gave the rest of the crew an opening to lay into him for how stupid he is. Later, the episode successfully tagged back to this bit by showing Fry in a building montage hammering a nail with another nail.
