Jason is back, and he's stalking the blood-soaked red carpet! The hockey-masked killer returns to the big screen this Friday (yes, the 13th) in an all-new, re-imagined take on 'Friday the 13th' from super producer Michael Bay (who also brought us updated versions of 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' and 'The Amityville Horror') .
Michael Bay tells us that his goal is to reach a new demographic with his remake of the horror film.
"I was a fan of it when I was a kid," he says. "We take these old franchises and we reinvent them with new actors and try to show them off to a new generation."
"Supernatural" star Jared Padalecki leads a young cast of "fresh meat" headed to the slaughter at Camp Crystal Lake, the location of one too many bad summers. This time around, a group of friends travel to a cabin on the lake for the perfect party weekend -- which just happens to be near the now-boarded up, abandoned camp. When his sister subsequently goes missing, Jared soon finds himself face-to-face with the "reborn, reimagined, and rebooted" Jason Vorhees.
