Life Lives! Is Daisies Done?

First order of good news:

Though struggling in the ratings, NBC has gone and given a full season order to sophomore series Life.

I don't watch this program, but hey, it's gotta be better than Kath and Kim (which also received a full season order).

But now for the possibly bad news:

I have yet to read this anywhere else (like TV Guide or E!Online), but Defamer is making the early death call on Pushing Daisies. I hope for all of you fans out there that this is incorrect, but I really wouldn't be surprised judging by how it's been performing.

Life is a smart series and i am more than glad that someone has the guts to let it live. But since Fox axed Firefly followed by the axe for Arrested Development, I lost my sense of believe in good judging by those tv excecutives. it looks like shows are only save when they are on HBO or Showtime, seems those two have balls, they care for artistic freedom all others only go for ratings. I have sent a flower buquet from Germany to ABC, I have signed the online petition 10 times, I called ABC, I have send them 10 emails, also to the tv station over here that shows Pushing Daisies since 1 week, and I have sent several letters to ABC in the US, asking them if they are out of their minds killing a unique show like this, begging them to keep in on air. Since I am a browncoat, a firefly fan, we are fightign for our tv series for 8 years now, I know how to fight those networks. Everybody that loves that show, just take a stand and let those tv people know you care. Sometimes it makes a difference. To moan, to sit at home a cry about it when its gone, doesnt help, get up your sofa and DO something about it.

I agree that Pushing Daisies is wonderful, but I think that it's originality is part of what will kill it. Unfortunately it just won't appeal to a wide enough audience to pull in the numbers that a major network looks for. it sucks :(

Damn to the depths the dasterdly dwight that would kill such a show in it's youth! The imagination, declaration, and presentation is as close to soul a tv show can have! All the sitcoms follow the same basic plots (boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love despite obstacles, eventually, they wind up together, and woo) however Pushing Daisies is more than a tale of a pie maker and his childhood sweetheart who are in love but cannot touch! It is a tale of family (Ned's brothers and his father, Chuck and her aunts/mother-tye person, etc). It is a tale of unrequited love, moving on, and mystery. It has the forensic elements today's society craves, but with a touch of that fairytale quality we've all been missing. Pushing Daisies is too original to die, they simply CAN'T cut the show so soon! It's only in it's second season!

Please, please, please, don't let Pushing Daisies be cancelled!
