When I first glimpsed Stephen King in 'Sons of Anarchy's' 'Caregiver,' as a "cleaner" named Bachman (a King nom de plume), my first thought was, "Uh oh, is this going to be a distracting famous-person cameo?"
But the King appearance turned out to be an inspired bit of stuntcasting; he brought a cadaverous, creepy presence to his scenes.
It was a wise decision to give him very few lines; his pale, bony face and odd demeanor were all we really needed to buy that Bachman is a very weird dude who gets rid of dead bodies via gruesome methods we don't want to know about.
And his delivery of his final line -- "Where is who?" -- was absolute perfection. Adding to the deliciously creeped-out vibe was Tara's stunned reaction to that line. All things considered, I wouldn't mind seeing Bachman ride into Charming at some point in the future.
