You know what I miss? Waiting very closely for the next season of The Amazing Race, knowing nothing about what to expect. Then again, that's impossible right now, since I'm doing that show for BuddyTV, and, well, that includes spoilers. So, sure, I'll give them to you. If you're not willing to be spoiled, then skip this now.
Last week we mentioned that poker players Maria Ho and Tiffany Michelle have been spotted at LAX on the day production for the 15th season is set to begin, and now, there are details on a couple more teams--and they're not exactly civilian teams, too. Maybe a step towards last season's Mel and Mike, surely? Or that other couple from Survivor?
Reality Blurred now reports that two more celebrity teams (sort of) are part of this year's race, but credit to where it's due--they're just trawling RealityFanForum.com like in the case of the poker players last week. Based on covertly-taken photographs at LAX, those teams include Miss America 2004 Erica Dunlap and her husband Brian Kleinschmidt, and Harlem Globetrotters Nate "Big Easy" Lofton and Herbert "Flight Time" Lang.
Just a thought here: that really makes them Globetrotters now.
Speculation suddenly arises, that this season of The Amazing Race is going to be themed of some sort. That's three celebrity teams too many--not that there's anything bad about it, but having many of them in one season seems like a plan more than a coincidence. There's even a report that another team consists of a lesbian couple who perform for a Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas.
But I saw those spoilers online and some, well, I'm not really familiar with, so we might have some civilians after all. I see a team of siblings, a Brad and Victoria type, and someone apparently named Keri. And they're flying to Japan, I heard. Well. That spoils it.
