There's been plenty to talk about now that Lauren Conrad is leaving The Hills. The fans of the show can't help but hope that the new season will be better and edgier, and it sounds as though they'll soon get what they want. Even the stars of the series know how quickly change has dawned upon them, coming in the form of Kristin Cavallari. It's as though a hurricane has descended upon Oz.
"I've seen a little, but honestly, she came in like a whirlwind ever since the first day at the wedding, the Speidi wedding," exclaimed Hills celebrity Holly Montag. On her interview with MTV News, she discussed how different things have become now that a new face is prominent on the series.
"I think, 'The Hills' has been changed," she admitted. While there's loads of drama afoot on the program, there are others who prefer to stay out of it. One of them is Holly Montag, who knows there's already too much chaos without her thrown in.
"I'm taking a step back from that whole thing," she said. "I've never been that dramatic to begin with. They have a lot of stuff I don't need to interfere with."
With that, Holly knows she'll be seen less and less on The Hills, which thrives on the drama these girls stir up. Unlike her younger sister Heidi though, this Montag doesn't mind going under the public's radar.
"As much as I love 'The Hills' -- [and] of course the MTV family, which has been nothing but wonderful to me -- I choose to let the younger kids bring up the drama," she said.
Besides, there are other things she'd like to focus on. "I'm just pursuing a lot of different things right now," Holly explained. "I have a jewelry line [Coquette] coming out, and I do improv classes, I want to do movies. That's really my main passion."
