Scifiwire.com is reporting that comic-book godfather Stan "The Man" Lee will have a guest role on an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory. Lee has now joined the list of sci-fi geekdom icons such as Will Wheaton (Star Trek: TNG), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and Summer Glaur (Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) who have made their way onto the hit CBS sitcom.
At the TCA Winter Press Tour, Big Bang co-creator and executive producer Chuck Lorre said "We're doing an episode with Stan in about two weeks, so it'll be on in February." Lorre went on to say that Lee would be playing himself and that "He's going to be doing his autograph session at a comic-book store, and he's going to have a run-in with Sheldon (Jim Parsons)." But just when you think that Sheldon might actually play nice with the creator of Spider-Man, it turns out that he gets frustrated when Lee won't hurry things up. "It's not an issue so much about the comics themselves," continued Lorre. "[Shedlon]'s in a hurry to get to court, and he wants Stan to hurry up because he's got to appear in court."
