He may have been an unstoppable machine unfettered by fatigue on the last season of Dancing with the Stars, but Donny Osmond sometimes surrenders to a demanding and exhausting schedule. Case in point: he was forced to cancel a performance in Las Vegas on Tuesday after he lost his voice.
It was sister Marie, also a Dancing with the Stars alum and Vegas co-star, who reported the cancellation via, where else, Twitter. "Donny lost his voice. It's what singers dread."
In other Donny Osmond news, internet sensation and recent Billboard chart-topper Susan Boyle met up with her childhood idol, and she said she learned an important lesson in humility from the little talk that they managed to have.
"He was very nice. We talked about how important it was to stay grounded," she said. "He bought me some purple roses, and they were very beautiful."
Meeting Donny Osmond, of course, was just one of the perks of being a hit recording star, but the frumpy 48-year-old maintains she's still the same Susan Boyle prior to appearing on Britain's Got Talent, except things are "a little more interesting."
"I still have my former life. I still live in the same house," she tells People. "My life hasn't changed. I travel more. I see places I never thought I would see. There is nothing I miss, because I have everything I had before."
Donny, who at 51 is three years older than Boyle, visited her at her Los Angeles hotel room with flowers during her trip to promote her I Dreamed A Dream album. They even sang a duet together.
