So I get an email from my colleague Kim, alerting me about the folks at Entertainment Tonight getting an exclusive interview with the stars of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Having seen the show a few times, and considering where I am right now, I started thinking, "what new things will be revealed in this interview?" I don't really like recycling stuff we already know, or something like that.
And, indeed, I was watching clips from the interview, and there's nothing new that we--especially you, the fans--would know. We know where Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner came from before the Twilight films kicked them out of relative obscurity. We know that Taylor's gone to the gym in order to bulk up as Jacob, considering he's supposed to have a growth spurt, and the rumors that he either get bigger or get going. Or maybe the ditty that Taylor can't date until he's 28 (which, as he pointed out, rhymes). Well, of course, there's behind-the-scenes footage, which should spike up the frenzy all over again. That's what we came for, all right.
But one bit got my attention, and it's something that Kristen said to the show. "You will get more Robert Pattinson than you expect," she said.
But isn't it that he basically disappears? That Jacob goes in and aims for Bella's heart, making this a love triangle, and everything that it entails, only it's a little more, uhh, supernatural? I know she'll dream of him and stuff, because she'll be very troubled and stuff, but... oh, I'm wondering what director Chris Weitz has up his sleeves. Seeing the clips, it seems the dreams Bella will have will be... I don't know what the term is. More, uhh, interactive? Edward-y? Talk about bringing the books to life.
