And here we go. Sometimes we can never really get the words the come out of Jon Gosselin's mouth, but we can't help but hear them. The Jon & Kate plus 8 patriarch is still going strong on the media circuit and that's all because of his contacts with the press. He just won't shut up about his life, will he?
Jon Gosselin told People.com about how he tried to save his 10-year marriage with Kate Gosselin. It was over between them since October, but it wasn't because they didn't put it any effort. Well, he can't do anything now. He's still too tied up with Hailey Glassman.
"I worked on my marriage," admitted the 32-year-old reality star. "I went to therapy. I have huge bills so [detractors] can't denounce that ... For [Kate] to say she'd been working on it - well, I'd been working on it too, and at one point in time I just gave up. There's a point in time where you just say, 'This is not going to work.' So I just moved on."
He certainly did, going through numerous supposed girlfriends on his way to getting over Kate Gosselin. Even so, he claims he'll always have a deep affection for his former wife.
"I'll always love Kate," Jon said. "I went through a whole bunch of pictures today, and it's sad to see something that was good turn bad but we moved in two different directions. We know that."
Still, there's only one woman in his life now. "I love Hailey," he announced. Jon explained that he and the 22-year-old are currently "boyfriend and girlfriend."
Jon went on to tell the publication that he started talking to Hailey in May, and dated her after Kate filed for divorce in June. We've heard that story before. The guy keeps defending himself as though he's guilty of something. Oh wait, isn't he?
Anyway, nothing's stopping Jon from believing that Kate will do a good job with the kids. He's out of her hands now, so that's definitely one less thing to worry about.
"I have no ill will toward Kate," the Jon and Kate Plus 8 dad said. "She's the mother of my kids. She's a great mom. She does a lot for them."
