[Image:|width=240px Remember NBC's Thursday night "Must-See TV"? Well, the network does. Those lineups were their sitcom glory days and they haven't reached those numbers since. That's why it must've pained NBC Primetime Entertainment President Angela Bromstad to announce officially yesterday that the pillar of their flagship show, Steve Carell, will leave 'The Office' when his contract expires in 2011.
"We've been lucky to have had him as long as we've had. These things happen when you have such a major movie star in a show," she said.
She's absolutely right. Fans of 'The Office' should be happy (and surprised) they have seen Michael Scott for six seasons and will get one more. Carell became a major box office draw in 2005 when '40-Year Old Virgin' grossed over $100 million -- the same year 'The Office' bumbled along with their first season.
