Big Love's Chloe Sevigny managed to snatch the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, but not before ripped her dress en route to accepting it.
The actress who plays stoic and slightly scary Nikki Grant on the HBO series had a wardrobe malfunction after an escort stepped on the train of her Valentino sleeveless number.
"I can't believe you just ripped my dress!" she screeched.
"I feel amazing in it. Unfortunately, the gentlemen escorting me up to the stage when I won this award stepped on it as he was walking and away tore it, so now it's slightly more tattered. I think it's going to make it through at least to the party," she later told the press.
She also shared some insights about how she personally felt about polygamy and how she is able to reconcile it with how Nikki, who is so fervently for it, felt. On this season's opener, she was the one who discovered her dead father and she's also locking horns with an estranged ex-husband.
Big Love, however, wasn't so lucky, as it lost to perennial winner Mad Men, which had won the Globes for Best Television Series - Drama three years running. The other nominees include Dexter, House, and True Blood.
