Long Before 'High School Musical' fever swept teens all over the country, 'Fame' was the "it" movie in 1980 -- even winning an Oscar for its title song. And now, 'Fame' is about to dance its way back to the big screen.
Debbie Allen, the lone returning face from the 1980 film, plays the principal at New York's High School for the Performing Arts.
"I honed so many skills doing 'Fame,'" Debbie tells ET about working on 'Fame' the movie and later, the series. "...It was a life. It was like being in college, being on that set for six years."
Famous faculty at the school include the likes of Bebe Neuwirth, Kelsey Grammer, and Megan Mullally.
