Desperate Housewives: Rate the Finale!

So, what did everyone think of the crazy season finale of Desperate Housewives?? I for one thought that it restored some of the spark that the show has been missing for quite some time!

I'm certainly thrilled that the whole Kayla Scavo thing got tied up, and I know that many of you must be too, as there has been a whole SideReel discussion about wanting to strangle Kayla the devil child.

Of course, the biggest shocker came during the last few minutes of the episode (if you didn't read the spoilers, of course) when the show - drumroll - skipped 5 years into the future!!

I laughed at the news of Lynette's children being juvenile delinquents, as if we would expect anything less of them. Also shocking - Gabrielle had children (and was looking quite a bit more disheveled than we've become accustomed to)?!

However, the biggest surprise by far (and one that managed to not be ruined by spoilers) was obviously the absence of Mike and presence of...some other guy...that Susan was kissing!

If Mike is truly gone, will you guys miss him?

I loved the finale - the way they all joined together to create a cover story to tell the police pretty much convinced me that this show was back on the right track. Also, I found thing episode had a lot of old elements of humour in it that has been missing for quite some time. And yes, the absence of Mike totally caught me off guard. It will be interesting to see how they explain all of the 5 years' worth of back story - I'm very excited to see how it all unfolds! :) --- one more thing - I was so glad Kayla finally got the boot. Seriously, that kid was messed up.

i JUST finished watching it and im in such a state of awe. that ending was seriously amazing.i agree with everything that has been said, but im kind of sad that Mike wasn't in the end - when they were showing the futures. is there going to be a new season? im kind of confused

i just finished watching the finale. and my last words was What the fuck??she is kissing a other guy. what happens with mike??well that must be a really great new season. cant wait to see it...i liked this episode it was really good. cant wait to see more of it

this episode was just awesooommmeeeee! it really did remind me of the first season. and the end of it?????WTF???andrew in a SUIT? bree ahead of a company? and mike???WHERE IS HEEEEEE!? the less surprising in the end was the Scavos story...

No, that guy who susan was kissing, itÂ´s not Adam, or Mike, its a different actor. I hate the season 4 ending, Susan and mike is the best TV couple ever, and they are at least the one reason why I watch desperate housewives, I am very disappointed if James leaves the show. and I am very disappointed that susan and mike was married only 5 years, they have baby and memoryes and everything together. :/ I hope that it is just a joke or something like that.

I do feel like Desperate housewives had been lacking the same sharp stories that ignited the show in the first place but this last episode put them back on track. It was very well planned loved the diaglouge throughout the episode. It was funny but very dark too, but thats what embodies this show. Its the perfect finale, it makes u curious to see whats going to happen next, but at the same time it wasnt your typical season finale. im glad the show is back on track, now i just need grey's to get back on track.

O MY GOD! I just finished seeing the season finale. I loved mike? I can't miss him on the show. Thing between him and susan word just starting to work. They just got a baby! But ofcourse its a great season finale. I also liked the 5 years that they skipped so you can see how the kids are as teenagers. I realy diddn't like gaby her kid.. she diddnt realy look that nice. and I didnt like lynette her hair:P! Can't wait for the next season to start! Does anybody know when it starts?

I AM FREAKING OUT!!!! Where the HECK did Mike go?!?!?!!? I looooooove Mike! man.. I am already PUMPED for the next season. I am glad that Kayla is gone.. she was a horrible child. I am also glad that Bree's son is back. Is her daughter coming back? Good to know that Dillon is engaged thats sooo awesome. I just want it to keep going! Lynette.. maaaaan her kids are nuts. Gabby finally had kids and I figured as much when they were playing poker and she was dressed waaaay down. I MISS IT ALREADY!! COME BACK! I'M DESPERATE!

Well, i felt that it was a finale for DHW!whats the deal with Gabriella! Did she had babies ?? They are not as pretty as she is ??Where is Carlos ? Is he still blind ?Will the Scavos always stay the same family troubeled by their sons???hmmm as for the big suprise its the absence of MIKE and Susan kissing a new GUY ?? who is he ?? Is he really Katherine's EX?? No no i dont think so ?

I really want to know what happened with susan and mike! i mean, i don't feel that they've been the same together for some time, rehab took a toll on their relationship, so it wouldn't surprise me if a couple of years down the track they had totally drifted apart. i'm just glad it wasn't Ian.. god that guy annoyed the hell out of me!! anyway, waiting till september is not going to be easy >( !
