We've seen the down side of what human blood can do to Stefan in "Miss Mystic Falls" but there's also a silver lining amidst this whole ordeal. For one thing, it makes room for more adorable Elena-Damon moments. But more importantly, Stefan's addiction takes us back to the 1860s--which is always a good thing on The Vampire Diaries.
In "Blood Brothers," the third to the last installment of The Vampire Diaries, we learn what really happened when Damon and Stefan were turned into vampires as Stefan struggles to rid himself of his human blood addiction. Stefan takes a trip down memory lane, specifically at the time when Jonathan Gilbert and his men were hunting vampires to seal in the tomb.
As we see the growing friendship between Damon and Elena, we also see the flirtation between Jeremy and Anna budding. Pearl, on the other hand, comes face to face with John Gilbert and their altercation takes a turn for the worse.
Meanwhile, Damon and Alaric team up once again in attempt to find a mysterious invention before it lands in the hands of John Gilbert. Will Damon and Alaric beat John Gilbert?
