The second film's not out for months - but by the time it hits screens, shooting on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third film in the franchise, will be pretty much wrapped. Yes, there's a start-of-shooting date for Eclipse, and it's August 17, with production due to wrap in Vancouver on Halloween.
The third book in the Twilight saga sees heroine Bella (Kristen Stewart) torn between vampire love Edward (Robert Pattinson) and shapeshifting wolfy friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner, who's been working out), while a new threat emerges from a savage army of newborn vampires.
With The Twilight Saga: New Moon out on November 20, the franchise is moving ever faster in order, we assume, to strike while fandom is hot for its stars (here's what one of them had to say yesterday). At this pace, they should all be out before slower readers have even finished the last book.
