Chief Needles Saves the Firehouse Through YouTube on 'Rescue Me' (VIDEO)

Chief 'Needles' Nelson uses that "newfangled interweb" thingy to big advantage on 'Rescue Me' (Tue., 10PM ET on FX) when headquarters refuses to reopen his firehouse.

Just days before, his team saved some deaf school children -- while off-duty. "We also got some video ... My guys responding, my guys bringing the kids out safely, your trucks arriving in what I would not call a timely fashion," explains Needles.

He tosses the DVD to the big boss and assures him of having plenty of copies for the press. "And just in case what I'm hearing is true about print media being dead, this whole footage is getting posted on YouTube."

That seems to do the trick: The firehouse is saved. Aw, makes us love the internet even more...
