Discuss: The Most Disappointing Episodes Of The Greatest Shows - Featured

Yahoo's TV Blog has a fun post about the lone bad episodes of otherwise great TV shows - like Battlestar Galactica's "Black Market" or Lost's "Stranger in a Strange Land" (that one with Jack in Thailand...).

Other shows covered include Gossip Girl, Chuck, House, 30 Rock, The West Wing, The Office, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, 24, Friday Night Lights and The Sopranos.

Just thinking about that Lost episode makes me yawn... who cared why Jack has tatoos!? Even those that did care (which I believe is no one) could have got their answer I am sure in Jack simply TELLING someone how he got them... so unessecary, and a waste of time! I remember that Buffy episode too... I don't understand why they thought it would be a good episode to basically just have everyone having sex the whole time, with basically no plot! Theres other channels for that! LOL... Ah well, I suppose even the greatest shows have bad days...

I liked that Chuck episode, i thought the sub-plot was completely normal for an episode of Chuck and prefectly hilarious.I can't even remember that lost episode either.

Yeah, even the writers for lost said that is one they would take back. Although, it did contain a giant easter egg if it turns out to be part of how the show ends. The tattoo means, "He walks among us but he is not one of us." So either they had one thing in mind and then changed it, or the meaning of the tattoo foreshadows something to come. But I agree, the episode was weak, Bi Ling is not a good enough actor to be on Lost, her cameo was out of place, and ultimately in the line of the story it seemed like it didnt really fit.

As for some of the other great shows, the always hated the friends episode where Pheobe trys to find her dad, aptly named, The One With Pheobes Dad, S2EP9. It was just a mid season pause from the Ross and Rachel story, and they didnt even revisit the story line until the last episode of season 3. Definitely out of place

Y'know, i think the worst episode or in this case episodes was any episode where George and Izzy are coupled. I wish that never happened, ruined a perfectly good show.
hopefully those writers have learned from their mistakes... or not

Totally agree about the Gossip Girl episode. For something so dark from Serena's past, it was a big anticlimax and totally boring.
And that LOST episode made me never want to watch it again.
Anyone who watches Nip/Tuck might remember the episode after Julia fell through the glass door and had surgery, where the whole episode was the dream sequence. Or the episode set in the future? terrible episodes.
Or Entourage, the episode "Welcome to the Jungle" where it was shot in Columbia in a documentary style. Absolute trash. Or was that just me?
