Fans of Gilmore Girls and other WB programs will be happy to know that though The WB network (everyone's former favorite destination for watching attractive young people with issues) is now defunct, it will soon be resurrected as TheWB.com.
The WB.com - run by Warner Brothers - will make episodes available for streaming of some of the WB's classic series including Gilmore, Smallville and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (more TBA...please please please let there be Dawson's Creek) as well as additional series that were produced by Warner Brothers that did not air on The WB. This includes programs such as The OC and Friends.
The website will also include short episodes of new content made solely for the Internet. This will include a music program created by Josh Schwartz (The OC, Gossip Girl).
The effort is part of a new "digital destination" strategy by Warner Brothers and will specifically be targeting 16 to 34 year old females.
