Follows the Tao of Costanza. Writes stuff about TV. Doesn't mix the two. I'm not a cool kid, but I play one on the internet.

This show wants to be gritty and titillating but it's just deathly boring when it's not actively ridiculous and stupid. What a freakin' shame.

By turns whimsical and serious, this telenovela/dramedy is definitely the best new show of the Fall 2014 season. That it's a cast of unknowns makes it even better, as no one's starpower overwhelms the storyline. I can't wait to see how it develops.

I'm intrigued by how so much happens each week, but by the end of an episode, almost nothing has ultimately changed.

Completely deserving of all of the praise this Netflix original has received. The best showcase for women on TV.

I can't even imagine what it must be like to transition in front of the entire world, which is why I'm so in awe of Caitlyn. She's singlehandedly redeemed the entire Kardashian industrial complex for me. Plus, Kanye even shows his face!

This quiet animated series pumped out quality comedy for years while existing somewhat under the radar. More naturalistic than any of its contemporaries, it deserves far more recognition than it's been given.

So great until it got swallowed by its own mythology. Season 2 is, by itself, one of the best seasons in the history of television.

Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope.

And no.

Fortitude

Gorgeous scenery and an all-star cast make "Fortitude" the best show you're not watching. It's too bad it couldn't get picked up by a bigger US network, as many of us can't even watch it in HD with Pivot (and the vistas are definitely deserving of high definition). If you miss Fargo, this is the one to watch.

John Mulaney's standup is great, but this show... oof. It's not worthy of anyone involved with it.
