We figured that Le Butcherettes would likely offer more of a performance than the average band that visits our studio; after all, singer-guitarist Teri Gender Bender tends to stalk stages, frequently covered in fake blood. The band—which started life in Mexico, but now calls California home—didn’t disappoint, thrashing new life into Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball.” Le Butcherettes’ latest is the menacing, fantastic A Raw Youth.
