A Moment To Say Goodbye To Futurama

Guys, I need you to give me a moment. I am a little beside myself right now. I know everyone is meant to feel loss from time to time, and it is a part of life,  but I am not ready to lose Futurama again. That show has brought me so much joy and laughter. It took the look of The Simpson's, and just sci-fi'd it until it surpassed that show. Yes, i just said Futurama surpassed The Simpsons. The Simpsons is the mainstream cartoon. Futurama was its cool younger cousin who drive a nicer car and always had a cool one-liner. And now, after last night's final episode, we need to say goodbye. But darn it, I'M NOT READY!   Read more at  http://www.tvovermind.com/tv-news/sad-moment-say-goodbye-futurama-221030#qDiQxS5bOueodyLM.99

'Futurama' isn't completely over: Creators talk 'Simpsons' crossover

"Futurama" might have aired its final episode on Sept. 4, but the show isn't gone forever. There are plans for a crossover with "The Simpsons" that is currently being developed and will continue to keep the "Futurama" characters alive and well -- for one more episode, at least. During the "Futurama Live" finale event at the YouTube Space LA, Zap2it spoke with "Futurama" creators Matt Groening and David X. Cohen about the planned crossover. As the finale episode "Meanwhile" ended on a pretty uplifting but conclusive note, the pair admitted that the "Simpsons" crossover won't take place after the finale chronologically. It's just tricky to figure out when it actually does take place in the "Futurama" timeline. "This is what I would say: I mean, we were canceled for several years. I think the crossover episode probably happened then, because can you imagine how many exciting adventures happened in those years that we never heard... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/09/futurama-isnt-completely-over-creators-talk-simpsons-crossover.html

Futurama's final episode makes me a Fry and Leela shipper at last

Futurama uses its last episode, "Meanwhile," wisely. It fixes something that has bothered me from the beginning of the show, and shows us the beauty of true love.  Read More...   http://feeds.gawker.com/~r/io9/full/~3/WfY62ncpw2o/futuramas-final-episode-makes-me-a-fry-and-leela-shipp-1255883809

'Futurama' series finale: Did 'Meanwhile' prove to be a worthwhile second conclusion?

Well, "Futurama" fans, the end has come -- for a second time.Resurrection can only last so long and, so, it's time to say goodbye to Matt Groening's cult classic comedy once more. On Wednesday (Sept. 4), "Futurama" signed off for good (or did it?) with "Meanwhile," an episode centered on Fry (Billy West) finally growing the nerve to propose to Leela (Katey Sagal). This being "Futurama," of course, things involved some sort of futuristic high-jinks and did not go smoothly. But was it the ending the show deserved? For a show that got the boot from original home FOX in 2003 before rising from the ashes on cable in 2008, it seemed only fitting that the series finale focus so heavily on characters dying over and over, while trying to find a way to reverse said death. After breaking the universe (because of course Fry would), there was an bittersweet beauty in watching Fry and Leela... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/09/futurama-series-finale-did-meanwhile-prove-to-be-a-worthwhile-second-conclusion.html
