If you've missed Glee during the off-season, Jimmy Fallon's spoof of Fox's musical comedy may tide you over. During the Late Night skit, Fallon reports that he and his staff from Studio 6B need to compete in sectionals in order to raise money for cue cards. And Fallon's "Living On a Prayer" is the only thing that can save the show's punch-lines by raising the $375 to buy them. Check out the story of "6-bee" in the video below, with cameos from Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen and Abby Elliot. And yes, that's really them singing. Source & Video

" Glee " creator Ryan Murphy had announced that two of the three new characters added to the musical show in the next season are Kurt's boyfriend and Rachel's rival. The third character in question has just been revealed via EW as a male version of Mercedes. "The third role is an R&B-singing teen," Murphy confirmed. When asked whether this would mean Mercedes will get a lover or rival, Murphy said "perhaps" they would be lovers. Despite announcing the three characters who will bring a surge of fresh story to the second season, Murphy has not revealed whether they have found actors to fit in the roles. Meanwhile, the remaining episodes of season 1 will begin April 13 on FOX. Neil Patrick Harris will be guest starring during May sweeps, while Jennifer Lopez is still in talks to guest star as a cafeteria lady. Source Here

Jane Lynch will live out a childhood fantasy in front of U.S. TV audiences in late 2010 - the actress has signed on to perform her version of Madonna's dance hit "Vogue" on hit show "Glee". Lynch will put her pop star skills to the test when she sings the 1990 track in character as her coach character Sue Sylvester in an upcoming episode. And the 49-year-old confesses Madonna has been her idol for the last three decades. She says, "I've just been kind of up on Madonna these days. I'm loving her. I grew up in the '80s, so she provided the soundtrack to my life." The actress' tribute will feature as part of an all-Madonna music "Glee" episode. Another news of Jane Lynch is that she recently revealed she made a duet with Olivia Newton-John, who made her guest appearance in the TV series. She told reporters at the FOX mid-season launch party, "I am doing a song with Olivia Newton-John. I'm doing 'Let's Get Physical'." Source Here
Jane Lynch will walk down the aisle with her partner, Dr. Lara Embry this spring. The "Glee" actress told New York Times' Carpetbagger blog during 67th Annual Golden Globes on Sunday, January 17 that she has a plan to marry her girlfriend in May, about one year after they met for the first time. The lesbian couple met at a National Center for Lesbian Rights event in May 2009. Embry was the recipient of the organization's Justice Award while Lynch was in attendance to introduce "The L Word" creator Ilene Chaiken as the recipient of Voice and Visibility Award. Jane Lynch is on top of her game this year with her role as Sue Sylvester on FOX's award-winning musical comedy "Glee". She was nominated as Best Supporting Actress in Television at the recent Golden Globes but Chloe Sevigny of "Big Love" eventually walked out with the prize. Lynch however, managed to go up the stage when "Glee" was announced as the winner of Best Comedy Series. Source Here
Great news gleeks! Or perhaps I should say, great news gleeks who live in Orlando, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, or Portland. The first cities of the the Glee Summer Tour were leaked this morning (by gleefan.com) and if you live in or near those seven cities, your favorite musical misfits will be singing in your town. These are just the first cities that have been announced, so keep your fingers crossed (and start planning a road trip just to be safe) if your hometown isn't listed. Unfortunately, your favorite musical misfits and the Glee Summer Tour, will not include New Directions musical director Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison). As we previously reported, Morrison will be spending his time away from McKinley High this summer to record his debut solo album. The Glee Summer Tour will be sponsored by Ticketmaster and Live Nation and reportedly a ticket to the tour will put you back 30-50$ (plus Ticketmaster fees). A small price to pay to see your favorite song from Glee performed live before your very eyes. Glee wraps up filming for the back nine of season 1 sometime in June, so Rachel, Finn, Quinn, and Kurt will most likely be coming to town some time in July or August. Which Glee song or star are you most looking forward to seeing on tour? Source Here
(Cross-posted from my Glee blog, Gleeks United : head on over there for all your Glee-related news, gossip, and recaps!) Stephen Tobolowsky has been in everything. Okay, almost everything. Just the other day on Twitter when a fan remarked that she kept seeing him in every movie that came on TV and asked where Stephen didn't have a role, the comedic star simply replied: "I was not in Sister Act 2." Over the course of his Hollywood career, however, Stephen has racked up over 200 film and television credits, including such well-defined characters as Ned Ryerson in Groundhog Day, to Sammy Jankins in Memento, to, of course, Sandy Ryerson in Glee. The gracious star (who frequently chats with fans on Twitter) took the time to answer a few questions via e-mail about Sandy, his fellow Glee cast members, and more. Part of our Q&A is below, but if you want to read my entire interview with Stephen (in which he also discusses what guest stars he'd like to see on Glee and what's it like to work with such a large ensemble cast), you're going to have to wait until September! The full interview will be published in my upcoming companion guide book Don't Stop Believin': The Unofficial Guide to Glee which will be in stores this fall. Gleeks United: Tell us more about how you see the character of Sandy Ryerson, beyond what we might see on screen. Stephen Tobolowsky: Any role I work on can be framed by two main questions: What is my character's greatest hope and what is his greatest fear. All behavior is to some degree influenced by these two things. For Sandy, his greatest hope was encapsulated in a line he had in the "Acafellas" episode: "This is my shot of getting back to the world of the normal." The line was cut in editing but the truth remains: Sandy is pained by feeling like he lives in the outskirts of acceptability. It is a lonely place - or as he says in "Preggers": "I'm living in a cocoon of horror!" So loneliness and being ostracized is what Sandy fears most. From what we've seen so far on Glee, Sandy is probably gay, seemingly a pedophile, a lover of Josh Groban, and a writer of Desperate Housewives fan fiction. How do you as an actor relate to a character like Sandy? Are there any hidden similarities between the two of you? It's interesting that one of the lines that was cut from the pilot was Sandy pleading with Principal Figgins that he doesn't understand what all the accusations are about because he's "not gay!" Let's take Sandy at his word - he is not gay or a pedophile. Does it make the material funnier or the situation richer? I say, "yes." It makes Sandy not a borderline criminal who is lying to cover his tracks - but like all of us - he is someone who is out of touch with who he is or how he is perceived. That is more universal - and funnier - and yes I plead guilty to that one! Will we be seeing more of Sandy in the second half of season 1? Have you heard any word on any potential storylines Sandy might play a part in? We sure hope that we haven't seen the end of him! I have heard that I am coming back but I don't know the circumstances or the story lines. These things always change so I have my fingers crossed. I love the show and Sandy so I hope there is more outrageousness to come! If Sandy were to sing a song to express his emotions, what would he sing? How about "Stoned in Love with You" (by the Stylistics) sung to Josh Groban or "Put on a Happy Face" (from the musical Bye Bye Birdie) sung with Sue! FOX recently announced that they will be holding an open casting call for three new characters in the second season of Glee. What do you think of this method of finding new blood for the show, and do you have any advice for hopeful fans wishing to be the newest students of McKinley High? I think it is very clever. It will get a lot of attention and press. I think newbies better be able to sing with the best in the world, dance, be tireless, and have a good attitude about it - other than that it's a piece of cake. Thanks again for chatting with us, Stephen! We sincerely hope to see you on Glee again soon!

There were a lot of information regarding "Glee" being released at 2010 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 17. Backstage, creator Ryan Murphy said they are trying to reach out to Jennifer Lopez to make an appearance, and later during the press conference held after the ceremony, he said there will be showdown in the season finale. About the guest starring appearance of Lopez, Murphy said, "I have a meeting with Jennifer Lopez in a couple weeks. She wants to come on. We want her to be a cafeteria lady." Meanwhile, Ryan revealed the sectionals will see the "Glee" club competing with Vocal Adrenaline whose awesome performance they have seen in the pilot. The show will only be back on April 13 and they are still shooting the episode where Madonna's catalog will be used fully. "We are shooting right now a Madonna episode, a tribute to Madonna," Murphy said. "She may or may not be in the show. We are doing a great number with Jane Lynch and Olivia Newton-John. They are going to do 'Physical'." Beside announcing that Rachel-Puck relationship will be revived because audience responded well to it, Murphy said openly-gay Kurt will get a lover. "We just announced we're doing a nationwide search for the season 2 cast, and [Kurt's boyfriend is] one of the three roles that we're adding," he said. "And we're going to make them a power couple. We're not going to do the whole hiding in the shadows thing. We're going to make them popular, and out and proud and glamorous. Like prom king and king. We're doing the opposite of what's been done." Murphy added, "We're also casting sort of a Eve Harrington [from 'All About Eve'] to kind of steal Rachel's thunder a little. So those are two of the three." Another point being shared during the press conference was that they will take away the baby fever which was a large subject in the first 13 episodes and focus only on Quinn's delivery in the back 9 episodes.
