Shonda Rhimes is an unabashed Joss Whedon fan. Not surprisingly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer fixtures Seth Green, Amber Benson and Nicholas Brendon have guested on Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice in the past. Now, Adam Busch is poised to join that club. Busch, who Buffy fans know as Warren, one of the dastardly Geek Trio who contributed to the death of Amber Benson's Tara, will appear in January 13's "Start Me Up." At Seattle Grace, he will be playing a first-year resident who must shadow Dr. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh). At the moment, Busch's role is planned for just one episode. Hopefully this means Yang is back to her old self, even if it doesn't bode well for the new resident. Cristina in her element can mean (hilarious) snarky put-downs. Source here
You can always expect drama on Grey's Anatomy when Meredith and Lexie's father, Thatcher (Jeff Perry), drops in on his doctor daughters. And there's more in store on the February 10 episode of the ABC drama, when old Thatch returns complaining of stomach pains. "They suspect he's rejecting the [partial] liver Meredith gave him," says Jeff, who is unaware of the character's ultimate fate. But what causes Lexie (Chyler Leigh) the most heartache is seeing her daddy dating Danielle (All My Children alum Alexa Havins), a heavily tattooed girl her same age. "He met her in AA," explains Jeff. "They were taken with each other and fell in love, which horrifies Lexie." Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), meanwhile, shrugs off her father's latest escapade. "She's bemused," says Jeff. "But keeps a safe distance." Source Here
It was a great year for TV, which made it very difficult to choose the top 25 episodes of 2010. Recalling and, in some cases, rewatching the stand-out moments was a holiday treat. We got our first glimpse of a bespectacled Clark Kent and saw Snooki pummel Angelina. We wept as Jack Shephard took his final breath and cheered as Leslie took down a mischievous rodent wreaking havoc in Pawnee. Here's the fourth batch of TVGuide.com's weeklong countdown of the year's best episodes. 10. "Sanctuary/Death and All His Friends," Grey's Anatomy A shooter roamed through the halls of Seattle Grace, killing off many of the doctors we have come to know and love, and leaving several others on death's door, including Derek Shepherd. After Meredith offered to sacrifice herself to protect the other doctors and subsequently had a miscarriage, the veteran series was taken to a new, deeper level. 9. "Peter," Fringe This flashback hour not only expanded the show's mythology of the alternate universe, but revealed the painful backstory behind Walter's decision to kidnap Peter's doppelganger after "his" 7-year-old Peter died. John Noble's sublime dual turn delicately balanced the audacity and distress of a grieving parent. This episode also marked the debut of '80s-style opening credits. To Read More Click Here.
