I have very mixed feelings about Homeland. I loved the first season so much but then the second and third seasons were just garbage. Three episodes into the fourth season, it's doing so much better. All of Brody's family drama was obnoxious and just took away from the story.

Season six is off and running. It's everything us fans have been wanting. Yay! This season is going to be fabulous and already they are pulling no punches, at all. Forget about the times you were bored watching (or, like me, left for a while) and watch out for season six, it's reinvigorated and revitalised and all things timely as regards the USA. Despite last season's great turn around Berlin, we are now back on home territory and the premiere is tremendously exciting, lean, mean and so involving the hour flew by. They've come back at the perfect time and having just watched the first episode I am jumping up and down for joy. Welcome back to the USA, Carrie!

This is one show which has drama, suspense , thriller ,screenplay and acting all rolled into one , I loved the first 2 seasons , After Brody died ( Spoiler Alert) , I am finding something missing!!! but still amazing show about today's international espionage.

Peer pressure made watch this show when it started, I did not get the hype about it. Season 4 changed all of that. It became a lot more realistic in season 4, it had me shouting 'this is what I'm talking about' at every episode.

The last, fourth season really got me back! It was brilliant so far and I can't wait for the winter finale!
Killing off Brody helped the show to focus more on the secret missions of the CIA and their ruthless fight against the terrorists abroad instead of solely surrounding Carrie and Brody.

HOMELAND - CURRENT

When the show first started, I couldn't recommend the series highly enough, particularly for the phenomenal performances by Lewis and Danes.

However, since season 4, I have a hit a wall. There is a flatness to the supporting characters, many of the tin-eared elements would more or less tolerable if I were still intrigued by Carrie Mathison.

First season was one of the best things on TV. Second one was a true disappointment. Third one tried its best. Fourth one, the "reboot", is thrilling, and brings back some of the 1st season's awesomeness.
