'How I Met Your Mother' series finale will air in March

"How I Met Your Mother" will finally fulfill its title with a one-hour series finale on March 31, 2014.The finale date is a good six weeks before the end of the TV season, but it will allow "HIMYM" to air almost exclusively new episodes from the time it returns on Jan. 13. The show will air repeats on Feb. 10 and 17 opposite the Winter Olympics, but it will be all new episodes otherwise.The show started production earlier than usual over the summer, so it should be able to make the early finale date without any problem."HIMYM" will air its 200th episode -- focusing on how the Mother (Cristin Milioti) came to meet Ted (Josh Radnor) -- in late January. ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Series Finale and ‘Friends with Better Lives’ Premiere Dates Announced by CBS

The  How I Met Your Mother  gang will suit up for the final time on Monday, March 31st with a one-hour series finale beginning at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. The network is hoping you will be ready to trade in one set of buddies for another as their new series  Friends with Better Lives  launches immediately following the finale event.  Friends with Better Lives  focuses on six friends all at different stages of their lives who are all pretending to be happy while secretly envying each other’s lifestyles. Once Ted Mosby finally meets the mother of his kids, CBS will reshuffle their Monday night lineup so that  2 Broke Girls  kicks off the evening at 8pm beginning April 14th. ‘How I Met Your Mother’ 200th Episode Will See Return Of Cristin Milioti

How I Met Your Mother  will celebrate its 200th episode with an appearance by actress Cristin Milioti, the notorious mother of the series,  TV Line  has confirmed. Fans of the show haven’t seen the actress who plays Mrs. Ted Moby much, but that will change according to executive producer Craig Thomas. “You’re going to be so sick of her by the end [of the series],” Thomas shared.
