'Law and Order: Criminal Intent' series finale: Case closed for Vincent D'Onofrio?

As finales go, "Law and Order: Criminal Intent" Sunday (June 26) series closer was downright unemotional. Instead of spending the last hour closing the loop on detectives Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Alexanra Eames (Kathryn Erbe), the show was -- well -- an hour-long procedural cop drama. Which is maybe why we liked this show so much in the first place. Sure, D'Onofrio as the eccentric detective Goren was endlessly entertaining, but when it comes right down to it "Law and Order: [Insert franchise here]" is all about the crime -- and so "Criminal Intent's" last outing stuck with the formula that kept us watching each week for (most of) the past decade. The final case we see Goren and Eames solve together was not only ripped from the headlines, but ripped from the script -- the story of a hip social networking entrepreneur and rich twin brothers suing her for copyright infringement was almost a... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/law-and-order-criminal-intent-series-finale-case-closed-for-vincent-donofrio.html

'Law and Order: Criminal Intent': Is series finale the end for Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe?

Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, as detectives Robert Goren and Alexandra Eames, solve their last crime together Sunday (June 26) -- or the last one we'll see as viewers -- when the the "Law and Order: Criminal Intent" series finale airs.D'Onofrio and Erbe returned for the show's 10th and final season, after sitting out season nine. Juli Ormond also signed on for season 10, playing the police psychiatrist of which D'Onofrio's character, Goren, was in dire need.In the finale, the story is ripped from the headlines. We won't get into specifics, but let's just say if you saw "The Social Network," you won't have any trouble following the action. The story is helped along by James Van Der Beek, who guest stars as a cocky businessman who mainly holds court in night clubs surrounded by what appear to be paid escorts. And, who knows, the show may have some life left in it yet. "I... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/06/law-and-order-criminal-intent-is-series-finale-the-end-for-vincent-donofrio-and-kathryn-erbe.html

Clip: James Van Der Beek Visits the 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' Finale

This Sunday night, Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe will solve their last cases as Detectives Goren and Eames as 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' wraps up its decade-long run. The final episode of the series also gives first-time guest star James Van Der Beek -- yes, Dawson himself -- a chance to live out a dream he's had since he bombed a 'L&O' audition at 16. That's right, a young Van Der Beek once tried out for a small role on the original version of the Dick Wolf series. Things didn't go so well for him the first time around, but as we all know, everything turned out okay for the Connecticut teenager. 'Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark' Spoofed on 'Law & Order: CI' (Video)

Law & Order: Criminal Intent  aired a send-up of troubled Broadway musical  Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark  on Sunday night, with  Cynthia Nixon  playing a character based on ousted director and chief creative force  Julie Taymor. The episode's fake musical was called Icarus and featured a song titled "This Is Hubris."
