The renovation of a 1908 farmhouse begins; and the Hatmakers have to make do with unusual sleeping arrangements. Included: Jen and Brandon work alongside a crew to demo the entire first floor to create an open-floor plan; new structural beams are added to support the second level; and a dining room is built from scratch.
