NCIS producer Shane Brennan has promised fans of the show that the relationship between Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Abby (Pauley Perrette) will continue to develop. In the seventh season, the forensic specialist discovered that Gibbs had previously murdered a drug dealer to avenge the death of his wife and daughter. "It's a complex relationship and we've just added another layer of complexity," explained Brennan. "But we would not jeopardise the relationship that the audience has come to love." He confirmed that the pair will remain a couple, despite the shocking revelation. "It does bring a different perspective, but it's not like they're going to be busted up," he claimed. "Gibbs and Abby are going back to being Gibbs and Abby." The eighth season of NCIS begins September 21 on CBS. Source Here

Even the great ones need an assist once in awhile. Muse Watson will reprise his role as Mike Franks, Gibbs' mentor, on the season premiere of NCIS, according to Fancast. Rocky Carroll (Vance) says that despite the events of May's season finale, everyone on the team âis still alive and well,â although âWeâve got a few old scores to settle.â When we left NCIS, Paloma Reynosa had just entered the store where Jackson Gibbs (Ralph Waite), his dad, works. All indications are that Gibbs' father lives ... but how? Enter Mike Franks. The Reynosa Cartel, after all, is one giant score to settle, and one that looms as a significant threat to Gibbs on both personal and professional levels. In the penultimate episode of Season 7, "Patriot Down," Gibbs tried to contact Mike with a simple message: Rule 44. But Col. Bell and Pvt. Dean were not after Franks. Here's a photo of the tandem in the Season 8 premiere, titled "Spider and the Fly." How do you think Gibbs' mentor will help him take down this formidable adversary? When NCIS returns this fall, viewers won't have to wait long at all to see exactly what happens to Papa Gibbs. Last week, we posted some NCIS Season 8 spoilers that hinted at blasts from the past for our favorite characters, possibly explaining how longtime veterans of the team ended up there. Executive producer Shane Brennan expounded on this in a talk with Entertainment Weekly, promising 1-2 "origin episodes" this season. That's a cooler way of saying flashbacks. Right? âYouâll find out how certain members of the team first came to NCIS,â reveals the boss of the long-running show and NCIS: Los Angeles. âItâll be hard to do them without flashbacks.â Which characters would you like to see flashback episodes devoted to, if any? If done right and tied to present-day events (in other words, not filler), these might actually be cool. Here's hopinh for Abby ... Source Here
We've talked at length about last season's finale and teased the NCIS Season 8 spoilers we've come across so far, but we've heard little from the cast members themselves. Until now. Michael Weatherly tells Fancast that the new season begins with âa huge bangâ and "Right off the bat we deal with every aspect of the season finale head-on." "So, no one will be on the edge of their seat wondering, âIs somebody alive? Is somebody dead?â The producers and writers felt it was essential to be extremely clear that things were being dealt with,â says Michael of the unanswered questions lingering this summer. The last round -- we think -- of qualifying on "America's Got Talent" gave NBC the biggest overall audience Tuesday night, but the season finale of "Hell's Kitchen" delivered tastier demographic numbers for FOX. NBC drew 8.6 million viewers and a 5.2 rating/9 share in households for the night, beating second-place CBS (7 million, 4.7/8) by a good-sized margin. FOX (6.6 million, 3.9/7) came in third. ABC took fourth with 5.3 million viewers and a 3.2/5. The CW scored just over 1 million viewers and a 0.7/1. Thanks to "Hell's Kitchen," FOX led among adults 18-49 with a 2.9 rating, beating out NBC's 2.4. ABC, 1.8, finished third, followed by CBS, 1.2, and The CW, 0.4. To Read More Click Here .
What will happen to Gibbs' father in the new season of NCIS? What happens to Allison Hart? Will the after-effects of Ziva's capture in Somalia play a role in future events? In a brief chat with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Shane Brennan teases what we can expect regarding all of the above topics. Here's what he has to say ... On the resolution of May's cliffhanger Season Seven finale: âThe [Season Eight] premiere will speak volumes about what sort of father Gibbs Sr. was to his son ...
