'Off the Map': Jason George knows why the jungle is full of boozy singles

The romance between Otis (Jason George) and Zee (Valerie Cruz) has cooled since the first few episodes of ABC's "Off the Map," and Jason George isn't sure if it's because of his character's struggle with addiction or that they're just better off as friends -- but he does know that Otis has other options. Zap2it sat down with the actor on the series' Hawaiian set, and he says the jungle is no different from anywhere else. "Have you seen the cantina?" he asks, referring to the doctor's local hang out that seems to be overflowing with attractive singles. "Here's the thing: It doesn't matter how far out there you get, people get their liquor. People will find a spot to get their liquor and try and get their swerve on. Out here in the middle of nowhere is no different."Apparently not -- though we think we're a bit more interested in seeing if anything develops... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/off-the-map-jason-george-knows-why-the-jungle-is-full-of-boozy-singles.html

'Off the Map' stars decide who would make the better doctor

If we were in need of immediate medical attention, actors would probably be the last kind of professional we'd turn. But when you're playing a doctor on TV, you have to wonder how much of the trade you'd pick up.ABC has a new clip of the cast of "Off the Map" debating which actor -- and which character -- they'd most trust in a medical emergency. And after hearing them all out, we're going with Zach Gilford. "I have a wilderness first-responder [certificate], which is like a 90-hour first aid course," says Gilford. "So anything that happens on a backpacking trip, from a fractured bone to a pulmonary edema, I'm trained to deal with."Considering we had to look "pulmonary edema" up, he seems like the safest bet. "I do have real experience, not just TV experience," he says. "So I'll have me save me."... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/off-the-map-stars-decide-who-would-make-the-better-doctor.html
