More Mark Brendanawicz to Come on Parks and Recreation

While Parks and Recreation has gotten funnier and funnier over the course of season two, some fans have one complaint about the sitcom: Not enough Mark Brendanawicz! Fortunately, Mike Schur told Entertainment Weekly that this will soon change. Even hinting at a Leslie/Mark romance, he said: We have some big shifts for Mark during the second half of the season, career-wise and romantically. We don't necessarily have specific places we're going with every different relationship. We just follow what's interesting. "I don't think that the final chapter has been written in the Mark and Leslie saga, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to get together. It might just mean that the feelings bubble up in one way or another at some point.' Source Here

Amy Poehler on Managing Her Double Life

As fearless bureaucrat Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler usually has her hands full with her day job. Behind-the-scenes, Poehler is much more of a multi-tasker. Besides starring in the NBC comedy, the Emmy nominee returned to her old SNL Weekend Update stomping grounds this fall, and she is also raising her first child, 13-month-old Archie, with hubby Will Arnett. How does she do it? To find out, TVGuide.com turned to Poehler, who also discusses her blossoming series, her relationship with fellow NBC star Tina Fey and whether she'll appear on her best friend's show. Parks and Recreation's Cast Speaks Out

On Saturday night, The Paley Center for Media hosted a panel for the cast and creators of NBC's Parks and Recreation. Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, Nick Offerman, Paul Schneider and Aubrey Plaza held court along with series creators Michael Schur and Greg Daniels (The Office). IGN TV was there to get an inside look at the hilarious spirit of this sophomore surprise. Season 1 of Parks and Recreation, which was just 6 episodes, was received politely (perhaps even coldly) but it also came with ton of comparisons to its bigger, more famous brother, The Office. Everyone is in agreement these days that Parks has not only gotten a hell of a lot funnier, but it often stands out as the funniest NBC offering on Thursdays. What's been the difference maker? Did the series just need time to breathe? "Like a fine wine," Poehler smiled, "I always knew this show was complex and needed to open up a little bit. I like to think that the show needed to decant." Poehler went on to say that she felt that enough time had passed where the viewers felt like they could attach themselves to the characters a bit more. "People are starting to care about the people on the show," Poehler stated. "It was always our intention that the show be funny, but also a show where you actually wanted to see what happened to the characters." Poehler said that the internal tweaks that they made to the show were fairly small and were just little creative ways to figure out how to include everyone on the show. To Read More Click Here .

The cast and producers of Parks came together for a panel at the Paley Center where they discussed upcoming makeups, breakups and shake-ups, including the surprising new couple that might actually make Ann (Rashida Jones) jealous. Justin Theroux joins 'Parks and Recreation'

Actor-producer-screenwriter-all-around Renaissance man Justin Theroux is joining Parks and Recreation (a.k.a. this fall's most improved comedy) in a major recurring role, sources confirm to me exclusively. Theroux, whose previous tube work includes stints on The District, Ally McBeal, and Sex and the City, has been cast as a friend of Ann's (Rashida Jones) and a potential love interest for Leslie (Amy Poehler). His first episode is slated to air in early 2010. Last month it was announced that Theroux had signed on to produce a big-screen comedy for Paramount set in the world of air guitar competitions. He also wrote the screenplays for Tropic Thunder and the upcoming Iron Man 2. And played everyone from Jesus Christ to John Hancock. A one-trick pony he's not. Source Here
