Jonah Hill hosts 'Saturday Night Live': Watch his best and worst sketches

Jonah Hill hosted "Saturday Night Live" for the third time on Jan. 25, and he was joined by not only his "Wolf of Wall Street" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio (making every female in the country extremely jealous when they recreated an iconic "Titanic" scene) but he was also reunited with his "Superbad" co-star and BFF Michael Cera for a hilarious and metaSpike Jonze parody. All in all, Hill made it clear why he was completing an "SNL" hat trick with his commitment to all his sketches and willingness to do anything ... even wear women's makeup. Watch his best and worst sketches below:Best - Cold open: Men's Heterosexual Figure SkatingWith all the controversy surrounding the Russian anti-gay laws in preparation for the Sochi Winter Olympics, the US decided to avoid any issues and send a completely heterosexual men's figure stating team to the games. Of course, the skaters they found weren't all that great:Best - Monologue... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/jonah-hill-hosts-saturday-night-live-watch-his-best-and-worst-sketches.html

'Saturday Night Live': Leonardo DiCaprio crashes Jonah Hill's monologue to recreate 'Titanic'

Third time's the charm, clearly.Jonah Hill took over hosting duties for the third time on "Saturday Night Live" on Jan. 25, and his monologue was crashed by none other than his "Wolf of Wall Street" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio -- who has yet to host "SNL" himself. That needs to be fixed, ASAP. Lorne Michaels, got on that. Not only was DiCaprio a total scene-stealer, but it was clear from the screams in the studio and the resulting social media explosion that everyone loves DiCaprio. But young females all over the world got a little more than envious when DiCaprio reenacted a certain famous "Titanic"scene with Hill. Yeah, the jealousy is real.So how did DiCaprio make his grand entrance? After Hill began to trash talk DiCaprio to the audience, he walked out onstage, shaming Hill. "What the hell are you doing, man?" DiCaprio asked. "I came here to support you. I was backstage the whole time."He... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/saturday-night-live-leonardo-dicaprio-crashes-jonah-hills-monologue-to-recreate-titanic.html

Colin Jost replacing Seth Meyers on 'Saturday Night Live's' 'Weekend Update'

"Saturday Night Live" has chosen Seth Meyers' replacement at the "Weekend Update" desk. The show's head writer, Colin Jost, will join Cecily Strong as co-anchor when "SNL" returns after the Winter Olympics, Deadline reports. Meyers will make his last "SNL" appearance as a cast member on Feb. 1 before moving on to be the new host of NBC's "Late Night."Jost has been on the "SNL" writing staff since 2005 and was promoted to head writer in 2012. He's written several recurring "Weekend Update" characters, including Strong's Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation with at a Party, and sketches including the "Fifty Shades of Grey" screen test and Kerry Washington's cold open from earlier this season.Having an "SNL" head writer go in front of the camera as "Weekend Update" anchor is becoming an "SNL" tradition. Tina Fey did it in 2000, and Meyers followed in her footsteps in 2006. Jost, who's dating "Parks and... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/colin-jost-replacing-seth-meyers-on-saturday-night-lives-weekend-update.html

'SNL' Promos: Jonah Hill Drops String of F-Bombs (Video)

Jonah Hill , fresh off receiving his second Oscar nomination, is back at Saturday Night Live this weekend for the third time. The profanity-laden Wolf of Wall Street was a topic of discussion, with Hill getting the unsettling news that he won't be able to drop the F-bomb as freely as he does in the Martin Scorsese film. So how does he remedy it? By dropping a string of curse words, of course. Get those censors ready, NBC.  Read More...   http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thr/television/~3/haIRKtS0qQQ/story01.htm

Drake Hosts Saturday Night Live: What Were the Best Sketches?

Saturday Night Live  welcomed  Drake  this weekend as host and musical guest on its first offering of 2014 and also gave new cast member  Sasheer Zamata  a chance to shine — even though the episode certainly wasn't one of the better installments from this season. Despite his recent musical success, the  Degrassi  alum proved he's still got more than a few acting chops to show off, gamely doing impressions of everyone from Lil' Wayne to a dorky dad at a slumber party. Check out some of the highlights from the episode below:   http://www.tvguide.com/News/Drake-Saturday-Night-Live-SNL-Sasheer-Zamata-1076338.aspx?rss=breakingnews

Drake hosts a solid 'Saturday Night Live': Watch his skits here

It's always kind of a relief when the musicians who host "Saturday Night Live" also have some sort of acting ability -- you know they won't embarrass themselves, so you don't have to worry about cringing through an entire hour and a half. Since Drake, a.k.a. Aubrey Graham, spent his formative years acting on a Canadian teen soap opera, he not only fully committed to every skit, he also had the acting chops to pull it off. COLD OPEN This one's not online, for some reason, but Drake got started with the jokes early as a not-very-apologetic Alex Rodriguez speaking with Taran Killam's Piers Morgan and trying to blame his steroid abuse on autocorrect, Jackie Robinson and the dictionary -- basically, everyone but himself. Kate McKinnon also played an excellent, constantly posing Justin Bieber. DRAKE BAR MITZVAH MONOLOGUE After a quick joke about being from Toronto, "the city where the rappers are polite and the... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/drake-hosts-a-solid-saturday-night-live-watch-his-skits-here.html

'Saturday Night Live': How was Sasheer Zameeta on her first night?

After months of controversy and a nationwide talent search, "Saturday Night Live" finally hired a black female cast member. Sasheer Zamata made her debut on the Jan. 18 episode with host and musical guest Drake. Drake, a.k.a. Aubrey Graham, was an actor (on Canadian teen soap "Degrassi") for many years, so the show was bound to be good -- or at least have a little more life than the typical double threats with little acting experience. Zamata made her first appearance during Drake's monologue in a flashback to his Bar Mitzvah. She had one line -- "Mazel Tov!" -- as Drake's uncle's girlfriend. But still! It was great to see her face in the first few minutes of the show. She also made it into the second skit of the night as Rihanna dancing through the "Blossom" credits -- and although that sounds really minor, it was hilarious. A solid start to a great show,... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/01/saturday-night-live-how-was-sasheer-zameeta-on-her-first-night.html
