After starring in the struggling series Tru Calling and Dollhouse, Eliza Dushku is returning to television with the new TNT pilot Bird Dog, Deadline reports. The 29-year-old actress will play Gail McGrath, a cop who is forced to partner with her estranged father, also a policeman. Mike Robe (Nora Roberts' Northern Lights) wrote the script and will direct the pilot. After breaking through on Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Faith, Dushku starred on the Fox mystery series Tru Calling, which was canceled after two years. Dushku returned to the network in 2009 for Buffy creator Joss Whedon's sci-fi show Dollhouse. It, too, was canceled after two seasons. The actress, also known for the films Bring It On and True Lies, guest-starred on The Big Bang Theory earlier this month. She also was seen on the sidelines of Dancing with the Stars this past season, cheering on boyfriend Rick Fox. Source Here
One of the more fascinating salary negotiations in TV history involved the Friends cast, when Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc chose to negotiate their salaries together, having decided that no one actor on the cast was worth more than the other. That pleased Warner Bros. TV to no end, of course, because it meant they could say, “Pay everyone LeBlanc money, not Cox money!” Even today, former execs from that era brag about how the actors left money on the table at the expense of keeping things harmonious on the set. (That might be true, but the cast’s friendships sure remained intact.) Cut to 2010, when another salary renegotiation is winding its way through the halls of Warner Bros. TV. It just so happens to involve a comedy that’s pretty much replaced Friends in terms of popularity, critical praise, and its ability to generate millions in revenue: The Big Bang Theory. As is customary for any successful show approaching its fifth and sixth years ( Bang is currently in its fourth season), the core ensemble of five have jockeyed for more money. Interestingly, three of those castmembers — Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki — initially decided to follow in the footsteps of the Friends actors by negotiating as one but, as first reported by Deadline, the Emmy-winning Parsons made the decision to break away and negotiate on his own. Lucky for Cuoco and Galecki, his strategy didn’t work, and now all three are earning roughly $200,000 per episode this season — up from $60k last year — and will see $50,000 bumps each year over the next three years, as well as a piece of the comedy’s rich syndication profits. Thrilled that her temporary gig turned into a regular job, Mayim Bialik admits that working on CBS’ The Big Bang Theory has been “the most challenging sitcom I have ever worked on.” Well, things are about to get a lot more difficult for her character Amy and her kinda-boyfriend, Sheldon (Jim Parsons). “We have an episode coming up called the “Helium Parasite Hypothesis,” it will be on in a couple of weeks,” Bialik teases to EW while attending a red carpet event over the weekend. “Amy starts to feel sexually aroused by someone. She doesn’t know what those feelings are. And Sheldon, we’re not sure if he is feeling jealousy, because he doesn’t know what those feelings are.” To Read More Click Here.

Three of the four lead male characters on "The Big Bang Theory" have had some success with women -- even Sheldon (Jim Parsons), who now has a girl/friend. But Raj (Kunal Nayyar)? Yeah, don't hold your breath. "Zero," is how Nayyar describes Raj's progress in being able to talk to women. It's so bad, he tells Zap2it, that "in the eighth season he's going to be on drugs or something." Nayyar was a guest on the KTLA morning show Thursday (Nov. 11), and afterward he told us about what he calls Raj's "tragically beautiful" life on "The Big Bang Theory." (He also told us that Thursday's episode, featuring the return of Evil Wil Wheaton, is "going to be awesome.") To Read More Click here.
Fast National ratings for Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 Thursday's ratings offered a mixed bag of ups and downs: CBS fell compared to last week but still led across the board for the night. ABC was down some too as "Private Practice" came back to earth, but NBC was up slightly -- at least for now. The network's Baltimore affiliate aired an NFL game between the Ravens and Atlanta Falcons that is skewing the numbers somewhat. In the network race, CBS led by a wide margin, averaging 12.7 million viewers and a 7.8 rating/13 share in households. ABC (7.8 million, 5.2/9) came in second, beating out FOX (7 million, 4.2/7). NBC's 5.6 million viewers and 3.4/6 were good enough to capture fourth place. The CW dipped a little compared to last week with 2.9 million viewers and a 1.8/3. CBS also led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 3.0 rating, beating out ABC's 2.7. NBC finished third at 2.4, followed by FOX at 2.1 and The CW at 1.2. To Read More Click Here.

Amy Farrah Fowler has more than one date a year with The Big Bang Theory: Mayim Bialik's she-Sheldon will be continue to make return appearances, the actress tells TV Guide Magazine. "We just filmed the first episode where I'm having interactions with people other than the Sheldon and Leonard plot — I'm with the girls," says Bialik, whose Amy embarks on a girls' night out with Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Howard's on-again/off-again girlfriend Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) on Thursday's episode. "It's kind of a girl's plot, which is really hysterical," Bialik explains. "It's a girls' night. You can imagine how it goes for her. Exactly the worst part of what you'd imagine about Amy trying to interact with other females is what you see. And worse." To Read More Click Here.
