Tom Weston's plans to expand The Paradise will put Moray's hope of buying the store beyond his financial reach unless he takes on a wealthy backer that Jonas engineers with Fenton (Adrian Scarborough) who also wants sole ownership of The Paradise. A figure from Susy's past appears, following a break-in at Edmund's closed shop, upsets her and she in turn upsets Weston's daughter, Flora, and Denise has to dismiss her.
