'Rita Rocks' averages 1 million viewers

Lifetime's new comedy series Rita Rocks averaged 1 million viewers in its debut at 8:30 p.m. Monday.

That's on par with the network's previous comedy effort, "Lovespring International," which debuted in June 2006.

In the key women 18-49 demo, however, "Rita" was up 38% compared with "Lovespring" (0.8 rating vs. 0.6).

Meanwhile, the network's original movie "Living Proof" averaged 2.5 million viewers in its debut at 9-11 p.m. Saturday.
