Upfront News: Day 1

This is an exciting week in the land of TV. We have entered the time period known as Network Upfronts, where we learn about all of the new pilots that have been greenlit for Fall (What will be the next Lost? What will be the next Cavemen?) as well as what's in store for our current favorite series. We also learn the fate of our favorite shows whose future has been in limbo...

Make sure you check back each day to get the newest scoop.

Here is what we have learned today:

The CW

-The CW has officially renewed Reaper. It will return for 13 episodes midseason. Source: Hollywood Reporter

-The 90210 spinoff has been greenlit and both Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling are now expected to be participating.

-Boston Legal has been renewed, but they will be losing cast members.

-Ugly Betty is officially moving its production to New York.

-October Road is a goner. Source: E!Online

-Miss/Guided, as expected, is also not returning.

-NBC had their upfronts early, so there isn't actually new news, but they confirmed today that Jimmy Fallon will be the new Conan in November of 2009.

-How I Met Your Mother and The Unit have both been officially renewed! Rejoice! (well, rejoice for HIMYM...I am indifferent towards The Unit) Source: LA Times

-Moonlight has not been officially canceled, but as of now it is not on the Fall schedule. Source: Deadline Hollywood Daily

-This isn't surprising, but expect Fringe from JJ Abrams and Dollhouse from Joss Whedon to be picked up.

-'Til Death will be returning, but New Amsterdam, Back to You and Canterbury's Law are all gone.
