The Most Important Shows on TV: Week of June 1, 2015

Which TV series will your friends (and the entire internet) be talking about this week? Stay informed—or at least be able to fake it—with SideReel's weekly guide to The Most Important Shows on TV.

The Whispers: S1E1

The Whispers (Series Premiere)

Monday at 10:00pm on ABC

Why: Because it's very possible you had an imaginary friend when you were but a wee child. The children on The Whispers also have an imaginary friend... WHO TURNS OUT TO BE ALL TOO REAL AND ALSO MAYBE AN ALIEN? MAYBE MULTIPLE ALIENS? Anyway, just to give you a heads up, we're definitely dealing with at least one alien who wants to talk to kids in Washington D.C., even though it's a terribly humid place to spend a summer, smdh.

Prepare to talk about: Milo Ventimiglia: what's he been up to? Why are aliens always so interested in Americans? Why would any being want to dominate our planet when you could dominate literally any other planet in the universe? Is it because they're tired of pirating The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones?

Pretty Little Liars: S6E1

Pretty Little Liars (Season Premiere)

Tuesday at 8:00pm on ABC Family

Why: Because Charles (aka "Big A") seems to have imprisoned those gorgeous petite fibbers (synonyms!) in some kind of Saw-lite place of ABC Family-appropriate horrors. This could be the most dire thing ever to have befallen the PLLs! I mean, it's possible, right? Even though it's the season premiere so anything particularly grisly will have to wait many, many months to happen.

Prepare to talk about: Didn't season 5 JUST end? Why the Liars don't just move out of Rosewood (Philly is so close! And Philly is amazing!); how Lucy Hale's genes came together to give her such amazing hair, and how we can duplicate that.

Hannibal: S3E1

Hannibal (Season Premiere)

Thursday at 10:00pm on NBC

Why: Doctor Lecter is in Europe now — Italy, specifically — presumably on an eating tour (hopefully he stays away from Fusilli Jerry). Also, Gillian Anderson is joining the cast full-time as the delightfully named Bedelia (NOT Amelia Bedelia) Du Maurier.

Prepare to talk about: Whether socialized healthcare produces healthier (and thus tastier) people; how to find a way to age as well as the erstwhile Dana Scully; how you've fully come around to Mads Mikkelsen as the perfect Hannibal Lecter.

Yeah, I'm not interested in any of those.

Fortunately it's baseball season.

I didn't think my point was that convoluted.

Title of the article. "The Most Important Shows on TV: Week of June 1, 2015"

none of them seem important, or even worth watching.
therefore there must be nothing worthwhile to watch this week.

And i agree hannibal is good, as well as the whispers was a GREAT premiere! I was impressed and can't wait for the rest of the season!
