CW's 'Vampire Diaries,' 'Originals' Moved to Fridays - THR.com

The CW is making major moves for midseason.

The network announced Monday that it is shifting The Vampire Diaries and spinoff The Originals to Fridays starting Jan. 29.

Replacing the pair of Julie Plec-produced dramas in their soon-to-be former home on Thursdays come Jan. 21 is Arrow/Flash spinoff Legends of Tomorrow at 8 p.m. and the third season debut of The 100.

This is good news. Too many shows on Thursday.
I was actually also considering giving up on both shows because I have too many shows on Thursday and I don't enjoy the feeling I get while I watch then. They are good shows, but they just ... Aren't fun to watch for some reason. Not like Agents of Shield or Flash For Example

Welp seeing as Grimm is at 9 on Fridays, one of these shows will only be watched then.

moving tp Friday night is kind of a demotion.. TVD used to be the crown jewel of the CW and now it's being moved to the friday slot..

I understand VD getting moved to Friday, the new season has been struggling. But I'm surprised the Originals is getting moved - I hope this doesn't lead to it getting cancelled....Nikita flashbacks taking place at the moment.
