Very cleverly written for a police procedural, and the cast was charismatic enough to keep me engaged. I'll admit I stopped watching when two of the main characters left the show, but I did catch a few of the later episodes to see how the important matters were resolved, and I'm left with very happy memories of the show.

While the last season really lost me, the first three or four were fantastic. I'm a sucker for the odd and unusual, and Fringe delivered that in spades. The cast was fantastic, with John Noble being his usual amazing self and making his character the best in the show. As complex as the story got, I never really felt like they were being weird simply for the sake of being weird, which happens a lot in shows like this. Give it a chance, and I rather suspect you'll enjoy it.

The first few seasons are brilliant, and entirely justify the hype that the show received at the time. The last few seasons... Well, not so much. The writers seemed to have had little idea of where the show would end up or how long it would take to get there, meaning that the plots and characters just tended to wander about doing ever weirder versions of the same actions season after season. Give the first few seasons a try (5 stars), but once you feel it's going downhill you can just walk away, as it never gets better again.

And don't watch the finale. Seriously.

I really liked these episodes, especially the ones involving Bud. The show really needed more Bud.

I think the most impressive thing about this show is that while watching it I never realized how much the two leads hated each other. Despite what is now well known antipathy, the show managed to remain very light and fun for a police procedural. The entire cast did a wonderful job of making their characters interesting and relatable, with Nathan Fillion taking the lead with his considerable charisma. A good show, and I don't generally like police procedurals.

I remember this show quite fondly. It's more than a bit dated now, but I quite liked it at the time and I really found Corinne Bohrer charming as the witch. Had a bit of a crush on her, actually. If you like 80's sitcoms, it's worth a try.

While not in my favorite genre, Banshee did a fairly good job of keeping me invested in finding out how things turned out. Nicely done!

Overall a fairly good show. Good chemistry between the cast members, nice pacing, and a fairly decent plot. The humor felt a bit forced a few times, and the special effects were dated, but the latter didn't detract and the former...was tolerable.

Overall, I'd have to say I enjoyed the show. The effects are certainly outdated by 2019, the acting isn't always the best, and there's little overall plot, but for an episodic adventure/superhero show it's pretty entertaining. No real surprises, but fun to watch and just let your brain check out for a while.

Blade: The Series

I must admit, this show grew on me. At first it was hard to get past the portrayal of Blade. The show did an excellent job of making him seem like the movie version, but I found that Blade too much of a caricature to be enjoyable. After a few episodes I was interested enough in the plot and supporting characters that the isn't-he-so-cool Blade didn't bother me as much. Surprisingly worth a watch if you like the movies.
