Melissa & Joey

As far as sitcoms go, this wasn't too bad I wouldn't say I loved it, but I would say I enjoyed it. I decided to watch this show because of the chemistry Melissa and Joey had in "My Fake Fiance" and because I loved "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" back when I was a kid. The chemistry was still there, and I love watching Melissa, but to be honest, some (sometimes most) of the characters are straight-up annoying and I feel like they regress as characters rather than grow. This should probably could have been a lot better than it ended up, but I enjoyed it while it lasted.

My Boys

This was surprisingly one of the better sitcoms out there. I enjoyed watching the dynamics between a woman and several different men in her life--her brother, her ex-boyfriend, her current crush, and a friend/competitor. Even though television rarely explores it (and even though it is a small part in this one), sometimes a man and a woman can just be friends.

Walter (played by Geoff Stults) is a tad-bit crazy, but that makes him endearing. "The Finder" is a spinoff from "Bones" where the character of Walter is first introduced and I loved that episode, so I was very excited for the show to premiere. At first I was neither disappointed nor satisfied, but it picked up near the end and it concluded with an unbearable cliffhanger. Thanks to Fox going for the record of canceling as many good shows after only one season as they can, we will never see a conclusion to that storyline.

While I didn't find the show altogether believable, Michael Clarke Duncan was a very good reason to stick around. Regrettably, he died four months after the finale and as such, this was one of his final projects.

This show was definitely a very guilty pleasure for me. I loved Patrick Warburton which was the only reason I stuck with it. David Spade only thinks he is funny. It had its moments, but I would suggest several other sitcoms before this one.

Between the music and the drama, my friends and I describe "Smash" as "Glee" for adults. I would LOVE to see the musical they create within the show.

Manhattan Love Story

This show does not sit well with me. I like Jake McDorman from "Greek" but the story seemed so forced and overdone, and at times, sexist. The idea was a good one--hearing the thoughts of two people who are dating--but it was very steroetypical. However, it seemed like "The Ugly Truth" where two people who hate each other start dating. The romance wasn't believable at all, and sex became the focal point early on. There are much better shows out there.

This show seemed so stereotypical--supernatural romance with a predictable love triangle. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good.

Wil Wheaton reviews all things nerdy. It was a comedy talk show about nerd life with nerdy guest stars. I am seriously surprised it didn't get better ratings, especially on the SyFy network. Maybe I am biased due to my love of Wil Wheaton, but I loved this show.

Selfie is a modernized version of Pygmalion (a.k.a. My Fair Lady). At first, I was not very impressed and I can see why ratings dropped. However, I am not one to give up on my favorite actors for at least a full season, so I stuck with it and it grew on me. I would have liked to have seen what would have happened in future seasons.

The characters can be a tad annoying, but for some reason, I love this show. Sadly, only the first season is available on DVD.
