Supernatural shows always seem to start out so good, but by the end, they become strange. Season 1 was fun, but by the third season, it felt more like a soap opera than a supernatural drama.
This is one cancellation that really gets me. This show was intense and mind-boggling (similar to Lost) and I couldn't wait to find out what happens. Jason Isaacs is AMAZING, and I loved the plot. Dang you NBC, dang you!
I usually hate animated television, so do not take this lightly when I say I LOVE Avatar the Last Airbender!! Even if my favorite ship never sails, I love this children's show more than any other. I highly recommend this show for anyone, and then I recommend you recommend it to your friends and family. I am sincerious, 100%.
This show was TORTURE for the longest time. Seriously, if my rating were only for the first two seasons, I would have given it two stars on a good day. However, because this show is a spinoff of a show I LOVE, I decided to keep with it, and boy am I glad I did. I saw a ray of hope when the origin story played, and eventually the show writers decided to take on a tone similar to the original show. As you can tell, I did NOT rate this show a two, and that is because of the last two seasons.
Two Words: Joss Whedon
That is all you need to know to know that you should watch this show. For those of you living under a rock, this show is a spinoff of Joss's first original show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Don't be thrown off by the difference in tone, this show is worthy of the Whedon name.
However, BEWARE SEASON 4. Much like many shows which last more than three seasons, Angel has an off season, and in this case it is season four.
Let me start out by saying that the movie is better in a LOT of ways. That being said, the girls are great actors, the guys are hot, and who doesn't adore the beautiful and extremely talented Lindsey Shaw?
Love, love, LOVE! Karl Urban and Michael Ealy are a great team, and the crimes are exciting. I was quite sad to discover that it was canceled.
This show was recommended to me by Netflix because I liked Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. While I can see the similarities and it has its good moments, this show is definitely not as good as Dr. Horrible. I had to watch it before I meet Patrick Warburton, and I appreciate the dorkiness of the show.
I enjoyed the majority of this show. Like most drama shows centered around sex and scandal, the relationships became a bit repetitive, but despite the manipulative nature of almost every character, I grew to care about them more than I should. The only reason I rated it as low as I did is that I hated the end of season 5 and the beginning of season 6. It did redeem itself though, because the last episode was fairly awesome.
This show has so much to offer. Forget about the amazing heists and undercover investigations, this show has some of the best relationships (romantic and friendly) of any television show ever. These two elements make for one of the best procedural crime shows ever.
