I don't usually like animated shows, but I enjoyed this one.
I love Samantha, Steve, Aiden, and New York. I like Charlotte and Miranda. I hate Carrie, Big, and both of the movies. This show is ridiculously unrealistic, but I guess I enjoyed it for what it was.
It was good (4 stars) until season 2 episode 9. After that, I definitely lost interest. If the finale had happened 10 episodes earlier, maybe I would still give it 4, but no. Definitely lost its energy.
Like the previous reviewer, I watched this because of Ted Danson. There were a few good jokes, but for the most part, I found it to be boring and, at times, offensive. Very disappointed.
I appreciate this as a sequel to Boy Meets World. It's definitely a kids show, but it is still true in spirit to BMW. The nods to the original tend to be overly cheesy, and the characters are no where near as believable as the original characters, but it was worth watching.
I really liked Arrow, and then the introduction of the Arrowverse made it so much more enjoyable. There were some arcs I did not like as much, but overall, I'm glad I watched it. It also got an ending it deserved. Thanks Stephen Amell!
"Bunheads" feels a LOT like "Gilmore Girls." Palladino really has a type of show, and luckily, she's pretty good at it. "Bunheads" took a while to get into a groove, but once it did, it was pretty good. I wish it had more closure though.
I love and adore this show. The first season was heaven (pun intended), and while subsequent seasons didn't shine quite as bright, I continued to enjoy the witty banter and the incredible character development. I see myself rewatching this show countless times in my future.
As many other reviewers have stated, it's just nothing compared to the original. I watched the first half of the first season. I think I would have liked it more if they hadn't have rewritten the lore and tried to rewrite so many of the original plot lines. Unfortunately, the acting was forced as was the plot.
EDIT: After several years, I decided to give this another go, trying to approach it as a new show rather than as a reboot. This time, I gave it a full season, but I'm not sure that I can keep watching. The acting is so hard to believe, and the plot lines are unoriginal, boring remakes of the original. I have certain things I like about it, but altogether, I wouldn't recommend it.
I cannot stop thinking about this show. It was so perfect! Its style is a lot like Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, so if that's your thing, I think you'll love this show. I can't wait to rewatch it!! (I also hope they don't come out with a season 2. It's perfect just the way it is.)
