This bit of trite is filmed on the coast of British Columbia, Canada, but even gorgeous rainforest scenes can't make up for over-the-top saccharin insipidity.
Until Episode6 Cross is formulaic and irritating but it gets a little better from there
The story of Renegade Nell is a fun & cute romp with great sets and costumes ,though not one I will waste any more time on after watching the first 5 episodes.
The accent is so thick that i could not manage to get the gist without using CC , pause, replay and sometimes Google search.
The ear strain was enough for me to call it , but once i realized i don't give a toss for any character at all, my mind is set. I'm done.
3 episodes in and I had to call it quits. With the music by the band being gawdawful and the acting hovering at only tolerable levels, it is not believable at all and therefore not worth wasting any more of my time on. There's some nostalgia but too many times this was irritatingly inaccurate of speech and fashion. In 1976, did anyone ever say "I haven't seen you in a minute!"? Nope.
The 2nd season of Bad Blood is even better than the first & the first season was good!
Billy Bob Thornton's great fun as always. The camera work is beautiful. Overall though, the show is incredibly tacky with many lingering butt & boob shots, mansplaining to infantilized grown women and cringe dialogue.
After 5 episodes I had to call it. Not-so-subtle anti-white 'jokes' and overall obnoxiousness are over the top
I've made it to episode 5 & I still don't care where Ashley is and I don't understand why Mickey cares where Ashley is.
The story is super slow coming. Way too woke. Insulting to the human condition. Barely watchable.
