This is a well done series. Loads 'n loads of talent from the actors to costumes, sets & locations and beautiful cinematography but it is a relentlessly grim tale with quite a lot of violence
From Canada; OMG this is SO good! I actually giggled & clapped at the end of season 2. Can hardly wait to binge on season 3.
I got so much from this show. It is full of wisdom and perspective that can be refered to again and again in my own life.
The acting is superb especially by Gabriel Byrne. The stream of stars who play the other characters make all 3 seasons a very enjoyable experience.
Thought I'd give this one a shot. I'm running out of good shows to binge on.....The first thing i noticed was how everyone has high pitched voices so that you hopefully don't notice the annoying little girl pitch of Miss Alba's vocals. Second thing I noticed was all the cleavage. 3rd was that there is nothing to redeem this show from these & other blatant attempts to disguise the many shortcomings of an awful production.
Such a brilliant mystery! Lots of surprises, twists & turns. Wonderful finale. Well done!
I enjoyed binge watching this show. It has a twist or two & the acting is good. next up will be The Five (2016) also created by Harlan Coben
I thought the first 2 episodes were very cheesy but am giving 4 stars for the 3rd which brought more intelligent creativity to the whole production
I enjoyed my binge of season 1 of The Witcher on Christmas day. It has been a thorough distraction.
The sets and locations are gorgeous! Same with the costumes. The gore scenes are very gory but still I'd call them elegantly choreographed with impressive mutilation make-up artistry.
In strange contrast, Anya Chalotra: Yennefer's green & blue eye-shadow was annoyingly distracting because it's really ugly LOL
I was surprised to learn that Henry Cavil who plays the witcher is actually only 6' 1" (1.85 m)! That's pretty tall but he seems so much more.
The Witcher is filmed in Hungary, Poland, and Spain. IMDb says New York also but I didn't notice it.
The Witcher is entertaining, compelling, not too annoying & I am looking forward to another season
I watched 3 episodes, hoping and hoping it would get better but it only got worse. SEE is an excruciating embarrassment to almost everyone involved. They have a decent location scout and that person gets my one star
Not a bad show at all. Interesting complex ideas. I'll be tuning in for season 2
